ATLANTIC INTERNATIONAL BALLOON FIESTA

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS - September 5,6,7, 2008

Princess Louise Park, Sussex, NB

Weekend Activities include: Balloon Flights, Powered Para-gliding demonstrations, ultralight demonstrations, Kavanaugh Amusement Rides, Teddy Bear Parade, Model Airplane Demo, Helicopter Rides, Bouncy Buildings, Aliant Children's Games,  Bingo Tent, Appaloosa Horse Show,  New Brunswick Agricultural Museum, Model Train Display, PCS & DOT Mine & Mineral Display & Fossil Find, Safety Chat & Vehicle Show & Tell with the RCMP, Fire Department, and St. John Ambulance, Balloon Pilots Meet & Greet on Sunday Afternoon.  Other activities include our renowned Craft Fair, Atlantic Superstore FREE outdoor Bandstand, Superstore "Kids Zone" activities, Antique Car Show & Shine on Sunday, Sparade (Spray + Parade) Saturday at noon through Downtown Sussex, Free admission to the grounds.

Balloon Flights available THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 4TH AT 6PM.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2008

6:30am  Balloon Launch Paid Rides available ($160.00/person) Weather permitting

Following the launch stick around for Powered Para-Gliding and ultra-light demonstrations

9:00am  All Day Activities, Concessions and Vendors

5:15-10pm   Live Entertainment  Atlantic SuperStore Bandstand (outdoors, free)

9am-9pm   Atlantic Balloon Fiesta Craft Fair

(admission $3.00)

5:30pm  Opening Ceremonies  will take place on the launch field.  Cake.

6pm  Balloon Launch Paid Rides ($160.00/person) weather permitting

Following the launch stick around for Powered Para-Gliding and ultra-light demonstrations

8pm   Moon Glow Weather permitting. Princess Louise Park

9am-9pm   Atlantic Balloon Fiesta Craft Fair

9:30am-10pm   Live Entertainment Atlantic SuperStore Bandstand (outdoors, free)

10:30am-11:15am   Teddy Bear Parade  Register ahead of time for this exciting event for kids of all ages. Bring your favourite Teddy Bear and we will all parade around the launch field together.

10am-8pm    Sussex Aeromodelers Airplane Demonstration Sussex Regional High School Field. There is no entrance fee, so just come and enjoy. There will be a few prizes and a canteen on site.  www.sussexaeromodelers.com

12pm - Atlantic Balloon Fiesta Sparade Starting at the Sussex Train Station and continuing up Main Street to

Princess Louise Park.  (Water Sprayers only please)

2pm-3pm  Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest.

Apohaqui Community Church will host an upbeat and relaxed Family Worship Party at the Balloon Fiesta Bandstand. There will be great music, lots of fun for the kids, drama and much more.
